Welcome to Southern Doodle Co
We are a family owned and operated high quality ethical doodle puppy breeder located in Berry, Alabama specializing in mini Aussiedoodles, mini and standard Bernedoodles, mini and standard Australian Mountain Doodles, and AKC Bernese Mountain Dogs.
Doodles come in many shapes, sizes, coats, and colors. Southern Doodle Co currently breeds Mini Multigenerational Bernedoodles and Australian Mountain doodles. Over the last year we have added the Cavapoo, most commonly known as the "companion dog". While coats may vary, Multigeneration breed pairings will ordinarily produce straight or wavy coats. F1B pairings will ordinarily produce wavy or curly coats.
Multigenerational breeds typically are a result of two doodles bred together, or a doodle bred back to a pure breed. F1B puppies are produced when a F1 doodle is bred with a purebred Poodle. For example, a F1 Ausiedoodle and a purebred Poodle result in a F1B Ausiedoodle.

Welcome to Southern Doodle Co! We're located in Berry, just outside Tuscaloosa, Alabama — Home of the Tide! We breed for temperament and companionship. I'm Mikaela, the heart and hands behind this home and program where some of the highest quality doodle puppies have been born. With over 7 years of experience in genetics and animal care, my mission is to connect you with more than just a pet, but a family member who's raised with love and the utmost care. I would like to pride myself in patience! I will never be 'annoyed' by your questions! ASK AWAY! I'm always here! I started this program a little over 7 years ago — first as Cedar Wood Farms and now as Southern Doodle Co — and the rest is history!

The Heart Of It All
I am the only child... So guess what? I can talk my parents into pretty much anything! I threw this idea at my mom and if you know my mom you know she is the biggest animal lover on the planet. She was immediately all in. She puts in countless hours a day taking care of our fur babies and tending to the ones that need a little more nurturing, granted most of the time she gets way too attached and wants to keep the ones we call "miracle puppies." She has been my rock and I would not have this incredible program if it weren't for my moms support and hard work that she puts in everyday to make it all happen!

The Working Hands
The working hands behind it all. No matter what we need done he is always ready to help us with our projects! He has always supported my dreams and made a lot of them become a reality! We would not have what we have today without him! He has always been an animal lover and not a "normal one..." once when he was 11 years old he caught a rattlesnake... yes, a RATTLESNAKE and put it in his "critter" aquarium. To say he is a bit of a wild man would be an understatement but he has taught me so much in life and I am so grateful to call him dad.

The Handy Man
The handy man of our program. We have been together for 10 years and have 3 amazing kids. I am so thankful for his love and support through this journey that I sought out 7 years ago. Some days we butt heads but I couldn't make it a day without him!
